Chapter 246 Thrown into the Mountain

I frowned, turned my head to look back, and indeed, a black van was following behind.

Odin had taken several detours, but he couldn’t shake off the car. Seeing this, I thought it was a police car, but then I dismissed the idea, as there was no reason for the police to follow me.

“How long have we had this car?” I asked, as Odin had already driven in circles several times to shake off the people behind us.

Holding the steering wheel, Odin said, “After we left the Hinton family, this car has been tailing us.”

Did you follow right after leaving the Hinton family?

Hearing this, I said, “Don’t worry, we can go to the police station.” Once we got to the police station, the car couldn’t possibly do anything to me outside of it.

Odin nodded, stepped on the gas, and was about to head directly to the police station.

Unexpectedly, a truck suddenly rushed in front of me, and I was so scared that I yelled, “Watch out!”

“Screech…” After the harsh sound of the brakes, a powerful impact followed immediately. The car behind, unprepared, crashed directly into the rear of Odin’s car.

Fortunately, the cars of the Hinton family were all high-performance vehicles with quick brake system responses. After the rear car pushed the vehicle a few steps away due to inertia, Odin still managed to stop

the car by stepping on the brakes.

The shock was just too sudden, neither he nor I had time to react due to inertia, and we hit our heads. My brain buzzed for a moment before I regained some consciousness. I looked towards Odin and saw that the airbags in his driver’s seat had been deployed. He had a head injury and was pinned to his seat by the airbags, semi-conscious.

“Odin!” I called out to him, shifting my body to pat him.

But before I could touch him, a dark shadow suddenly appeared in front of the driver’s window. After a loud “bang”, the car window glass was shattered.

I saw the person reach out towards the car door, and by the time I realized that they were trying to open it, it was already too late for me to stop them.

“With a ‘click’, the car door next to me was suddenly pulled open. Outside stood two men wearing masks and baseball caps, who glanced at me. After seemingly confirming that I was the person they were looking for, they abruptly yanked me out of the car.”

“What are you doing? Uh…” Before I could ask anything else, someone covered my mouth and dragged me into that black van.

In the car, all the back seats had been removed. After I was thrown in, the two people quickly got in, locked the doors, started the car, and left swiftly

Were they coming for me?

-Kidnapping!

Thinking of these two words, my brows furrowed. Who wanted to kidnap me?

The car sped all the way, and I was taken to a remote area. The two men in the car suddenly got out. I originally thought they would take me to some abandoned factory or old house to torture me.

After the people on the car got off, there was no movement. I was trapped and struggled in the car for a while, and there was no movement outside.

Did those two kidnappers leave?

Just left like that?

I was doubtful, did they kidnap me and just leave me in this desolate wilderness?

Unable to figure out what was going on, I decided not to waste any more energy. I simply leaned against the passenger seat and rubbed off the tape that was covering my mouth.

He then struggled to half-kneel to observe the situation outside. Outside the car window, there were mountains everywhere. As far as the eye could see, there were dense forests of trees and shrubs and weeds.
