Chapter 360 Encountering the Person Who Shouldn’t Have Been Met

It was unclear what exactly happened between her and William. It’s always difficult for outsiders to intervene in marital affairs.

So, I didn’t ask any more questions either.

Not long after, we arrived at the night market. The crowd at the night market was exceptionally large, bustling and prosperous. Many stalls were filled with all kinds of small toys, and there were also many delicious foods. Many tourist girls from other places, dressed in sexy clothes and wearing exquisite makeup, were strolling and taking pictures. Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful women of all kinds.

As a person, I liked looking at handsome men, and even more so at beautiful women. Along the way, I never missed a chance to look. There were so many people that I almost got separated from Emma several times.

Emma seemed not to be interested in shopping, she was constantly looking around as if she was here to find someone. I didn’t want to pry, so I just admired the beautiful women and small trinkets while keeping close to her, afraid we might lose each other.

However, we still got lost within five minutes, the reason being that I was attracted by the figurines on a stall selling anime merchandise. Out of curiosity, I couldn’t help but take a few more glances.

The boss was sharp-eyed, seeing me staring, he quickly said, “Miss, do you need a lighter? Buy one for your boyfriend.”

I suddenly realized, looking at the various cute and quirky trinkets on

the stall, “These are all lighters?”

The boss nodded, laughing, “Pick one, they’re very cheap, thirty each.

Driven by curiosity, I stopped to take a few more glances. By the time I turned back to look for Emma, she was already out of sight.

In a moment of panic, I could no longer afford to be curious. I looked around in private, but there were too many people here and the night market was too big. Helplessly, I simply went to the high tower at the entrance of the night market to look around.

Seeing no one around, I pulled out my phone to call her, when I faintly heard a familiar voice, “This scenery is beautiful, take a photo for me, as a keepsake.”

My hand, holding the phone, paused. This voice was…Rachel.

The person I grew up with since childhood, I was so familiar with her voice.

A surge of joy filled my heart, and I quickly turned around. Almost instantly, I saw two familiar faces, a man and a woman. The man was holding a phone, taking a picture of the woman, who had a radiant smile on her face.

It was Rachel, but to my surprise, William was also there.

Looking at the two of them, a buzz sounded in my head, instantly throwing me into confusion. How could they…

I wasn’t stupid. The previous incidents might have been accidents, but the fact that William left his pregnant wife to accompany another woman shopping and taking photos here was enough to explain everything.

They…

Perhaps sensing my gaze, Rachel first looked over at me. Upon seeing me, her face noticeably stiffened, and then she instinctively wanted to leave.

I stepped ahead of her, grabbed her, and looked at her. For a moment, I didn’t know what to say. Accusations? Insults? Stand on the moral high ground and despise her?

No, she’s been my friend since childhood, I couldn’t treat her like that.

In the end, I could only watch her silently and ask, “Why?”

She had clearly said before that she would break it off, that she would distance herself from William. Why had it turned out like this instead?

Pushing me away, Rachel’s face turned pale for a moment, then she looked at me as usual and said, “I love him, I just want to be with the one I love.”
