Chapter 481 The Old Lady Was Hospitalized

Once the old lady was admitted to the hospital, she wouldn’t worry too much about his and Marjorie’s wedding, and he would also be able to free up his hands to deal with Ezra.

From the moment he saw the old lady in the hall, and after seeing that invitation, he probably had already figured out what he wanted to do. I was initially doubtful, wondering why he would say those things to the old lady. Even if the incident ten years ago was Kane’s fault,

everything had already happened. Blaming the old lady was utterly pointless. What he seemed to be considering was how to make amends for the past as much as possible.

People are selfish, even if their character is excellent. Walter could have confessed to the police about what happened in the past to atone for the Hinton family. But after all, the Hinton family is not just him alone, so all he could do was to make up for it as much as possible.

So, blaming the old lady was useless

At first, I didn’t understand why he would say those things to the old lady. Later, I realized that if the old lady stayed in the hospital and had no energy to meddle in other things, he could free up his hands to do other things.

I raised my hand and patted his back, sighing slightly, “Alright, stop blaming yourself. The doctor just said that the old lady fainted due to a moment of emotional excitement, it’s not a big deal. She just needs a few days of rest.”

He held me, his whole body trembling slightly. I knew, this was probably the most disgusting thing he had ever done in his life.

I couldn’t find any words to comfort him, I could only sigh softly.

He opened his mouth and said, “Did you know that Ezra didn’t die, and he looked for you?”

“Hmm!” He spoke, his voice somewhat hoarse.

Sure enough, my guess was indeed correct. How else would he know about the Hinton family’s affairs from ten years ago? I pursed my lips and asked, “What did he threaten you with about the incident from ten years ago?”

He paused for a moment, but didn’t speak.

Without thinking, I knew the answer. I distanced myself from him, looked at him, and said, “It’s me, right?” nd said, “It’s me, right?”

He furrowed his brows, looking at me and said, “Tabatha, this time, I won’t let you go with him again.”

This was simply a dead end.

I took a deep breath, feeling utterly exhausted.

“Walter, Tabatha!” A voice rang out, interrupting my conversation with Walter. It was William, with Rachel standing beside him.

I didn’t know if Rachel was intentionally sticking out her belly, but I always felt that her less-than-three-months pregnant belly was somewhat excessively protruding. After all, many women’s bellies are basically unnoticeable at three months, but hers seemed overly obvious.

Seeing the two, I instinctively frowned, gave them a brief glance, and then silently walked over to sit down on a chair to the side.

Seeing this, William was slightly embarrassed. Rachel, however,

seemed not to mind and turned to Walter, saying, “Hello, Mr. Hinton.”

Walter didn’t respond, he just nodded slightly, as if to save face.

William seemed not to care about Walter’s attitude towards Rachel. Looking at Walter, he asked, “What happened? How could grandma suddenly faint? Is she alright?”

He suddenly asked several questions. Before Walter could respond, the door to the emergency room was flung open.

The old lady was wheeled out, already awake, and was pushed into the ward by the nurse. The doctor looked at us and said, “The old lady is fine, she was just anxious. You all need to take care of her emotions more, and she will be fine after a few days of rest.”

Hearing this, Walter nodded slightly, seemingly relieved. He was probably worried too. If anything happened to the old lady, he naturally wouldn’t be able to get over it.
