Chapter 144
In the interrogation room, Alisha looked at Elaina, who was sitting opposite her. The corners of her mouth rose slightly, but Alisha quickly darkened her face and showed a sad look.
“Ms. Gainsford, Marcus made a mistake last time, so I asked him to apologize to you personally. At that time, you said that you would forgive him. I thought you meant it. I didn’t expect…”
Alisha covered her face and cried bitterly.
Elaina did not say anything. She just coldly watched Alisha performing.
“Even if he has done something wrong, you can hand him over to the police. Why did you kill him? He was so young. How could you do that?”
Alisha already saw Elaina as a murderer. She ignored the lack of evidence and the fact that Elaina was just a suspect.
Elaina leaned on the chair. After a long while, she said, “The police didn’t say that I’m the murderer. Why do you think I killed Marcus?”
Alisha questioned, “Who else could it be? The weapon has your fingerprints on it.” Her eyes were red.
Elaina chuckled. She leaned forward and looked at Alisha with interest. “Someone framed me. Ms. Lory, aren’t you curious about who it is? Maybe the person is your Lory family’s enemy.”
Alisha frowned. She wondered why Elaina was so calm. All the evidence was pointing at her. Where did she get the confidence?
“Ms. Lory, you didn’t reply. Can I suspect that you also have the motive to kill him too?” Elaina smiled, but her gaze was cold.
“Nonsense!”
Alisha shouted angrily. But she was a little panicked. “Marcus is my brother. Why would I kill him?
Mind your words!”
