Chapter 259
The next day, Jalen woke up at Elaina’s house. The scenes from last night were still replaying in his mind, especially the short kiss. He couldn’t help smiling.
He reached out and touched his lips. There seemed to be still the warmth left by Elaina.
A voice came from outside the door. Elaina must have woken up. Jalen did not hesitate. He quickly got up from the bed and opened the door. He saw Elaina in the living room.
They looked at each other. Neither of them spoke, especially Elaina. Her cheeks were uncontrollably red.
She glared at Jalen. “The toiletries are in the bathroom. I bought them at the last minute. Just use them.”
There had never been a man staying at her home before. Even Theodore and the others had not stayed for the night. She did not expect Jalen to stay here.
“OK, thank you.” Jalen nodded and turned to go to the bathroom.
Elaina thought, bastard, stop pretending to be a gentleman! Last night, you…
Elaina sighed and rubbed her head, forcing herself not to think about it.
Not long after that, Jalen came out of the bathroom. Elaina had already placed breakfast on the table. “Eat it. Try the spaghetti I cooked.”
“Spaghetti?” Jalen was surprised. He did not expect Elaina to cook this.
She replied, “Yes, spaghetti with cream sauce.”
Jalen was speechless.
He walked over, and sure enough, there were two plates of spaghetti on the table.
“Only you eat spaghetti in the morning,” Jalen complained. He reached out and took away the plate in front of Elaina.
Elaina asked him, “What are you doing?”
Jalen ignored her and went into the kitchen with spaghetti. After a while, spaghetti was brought out again. However, there were a few fried eggs and shrimp on the spaghetti, and they immediately became nutritious.
“I didn’t know you were so particular about food,” Elaina laughed.
“If I weren’t worried about your stomach, why would I be like this?” Even Nitzan had never eaten the breakfast Jalen made. Elaina was the first one.
Elaina stuck out her tongue and felt a little apologetic. “Don’t exaggerate. I’m fine.”
