Fated For Lycan's Luna (Chloe and Blake) novel Chapter 187

Blake

‘Not to tell the Alpha’s Queen? Isn’t that Lyra?’

I hid myself deeply as I pondered the meaning of Gauss’s words. What is it that they must not tell to her?

In the end, I had no choice but to set that side for a moment as the air had already turned eerie and cold. The atmosphere around the dark and secluded hall turned even more sinister.

I watched as the rest of the elders nodded in agreement and wordlessly watched Gauss maneuver a mechanism in the door.

Vrrrrr…

Being a bit too far from them, I was not able to see how Gauss opened the door but the slight tremors around the cave signaled that he successfully opened it. There revealed another room, far smaller than the laboratory rooms outside.

In the dark light, using Eron’s power, I was able to somehow figure out the interior of the room which was filled with a lot of vials and glass canisters of different sizes. They were certainly filled with something, but I was already too far to figure out what it was.

“This is the strongest weapon that we, the Blood Hound Pack had…” Finally, Gauss took out a small vial and showed it to the rest of the elders.

The liquid in the vial was blood red, and the moment Gauss carefully took out the cork that was covering it, an aggressive putrid smell assaulted my nose, almost urging me to gag uncontrollably.

The elders also could not help but back up, and together, all of us felt a deep sense of apprehension toward the liquid.

“Elder Gauss… what is this thing?” No longer able to comprehend what he was seeing, one of the elders took up the courage to ask about the substance.

“It’s actually the completed version of my arrogant niece’s poison. If you remember, I used the poison made by her on her very own father. But that poison took too long to kill a strong person like Dean. As such, starting that day, I set out to study this poison and make it perfect!”

“But I came across a great hurdle, the missing element that would be strong enough to become the main carrier of the substance. The poison component itself was so strong that it would make any kind of liquid evaporate.

I tried everything… water, several kinds of medicine, and even melted metal, but it was not strong enough. Finally, I remembered how that niece of mine would use her own blood in all her creations. As such, I tried to use mine…

But unfortunately, it did not work.

However, I knew that I was on the right track… the only task left was to find someone who carried the same blood as hers. I tried pulling some strings to take her back and become my blood bank, but she disappeared for years… only to appear right now…”

Gauss’s lengthy explanation finally satisfied most of my questions, but the moment I heard that he wanted to take Chloe to become a blood blank my face darkened in raging anger.

I wanted to rip his mouth right away and kill him at his moment, but I knew that I could not do it in this situation where I was alone with several elders in their hideout.

“Elder Gauss… you said that this poison was already perfect… that means… you have found a blood bank already?” an elder questioned.

Gauss’s expression lit up as he proudly answered, “Indeed… that is why I told you, not to tell it to the queen..”
