Fifty Shades of Grey book review:
This book shocked me!
I mean, where the hell do you find a 23 year old virgin these days!?
Oh, yeah. There was also that BDSM stuff.
Surprisingly, I thought the erotica was done in a fairly tasteful way.
And by tasteful, I mean that there was no poo involved. I read this one book...Gack! Don't ask...
As far as the relationship between Christian and Ana? Er, it was pretty strange. Dude has some serious issues. He's evidently smokin' hot and Bruce Wayne-style rich, but ehhhhhhhh sorta creepy. Ok. Really creepy. The kind of creepy that would allow me to shoot him and get a good night's sleep if I found him sniffing around one of my girls.

What an interesting book. It had a lot going for it, but it had a lot against it as well, and that’s making it hard to rate. This is a big departure for me. I don’t read erotica very often and it’s rare for me to read anything with BDSM in it. But when Juliana recommended the book I had to at least see if it interested me. I went to Google Books and started reading the sample, but the first chapter didn’t impress me at all. I left her a message saying the equivalent of “thanks but no thanks” but then kept reading in idle curiosity. By the third chapter I was intrigued enough to change my mind and get a copy. Fickle, thy name is Catherine. ;)

Unashamed of how much I enjoyed this book, a great start to this series and totally behind the hype on this. Christian is a refreshing character, I love an alpha male, the only annoying thing for me was how much he compromised for Anastasia, I would have preferred a book that focussed on one of his previous subs who had more experience and was less wet.
