Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 1368

Chapter 1368 The Purest Feelings

Marcellus had always been a bold speaker, to which Beryl had developed some immunity. However, when it came from Tomas, she felt exceedingly embarrassed.

Her face reddened visibly as she hastened to deny Tomas's words, "That's not true. Why would he have time to think about me?"

Beryl had intended to merely clarify, but when Marcellus heard her, he said, "How wouldn't I? No matter how busy I am or how much work I have, I always have more than enough time to think about you, if I want to."

Hearing the very shameless words from the man beside her, Beryl was both amused and helpless, "Can you please stop making things up?"

"How am I making things up? Every single word I said is true. You just don't believe me," Marcellus countered, sounding a bit aggrieved, "Ask Tomas, besides you, have I ever driven any other woman to school? Forget school, I've never even chauffeured anyone else shopping. You just don't realize your good fortune."

Tomas, who had been attentively monitoring the conversation, naturally sided with Marcellus, who he had driven for many years, "Indeed, Miss Juliet, other than you, Marcellus has never invited another girl into this car."

Though Beryl didn't believe Marcellus's words, she did trust Tomas.

Is that so?

She was the first girl he'd ever brought into this car. Is that so?

The thought flashed across her mind, leaving Beryl feeling somewhat liberated, though she couldn't pinpoint why.

Throughout her interactions with Marcellus, she had noticed, that despite his history with many women, he maintained a pure and sincere emotion. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been pestering her like a child.

After all these years, and now in his thirties, hadn't there been anyone he had taken home?

Should it be said that he has high standards, or that he simply doesn't understand the realities?
