On the other end of the phone, Dean Anderson immediately agreed without hesitation, "No problem. What's the patient's condition?"
"Cerebral hemorrhage," Marcellus responded, glancing at the little girl quietly shedding tears beside him, "The exact situation is still unclear."
"Alright, that would be Neurology. I'll arrange it now," Dean Anderson said, already making the record, "What's the patient's name?"
"Your father's name."
Beryl immediately said, "Amir Juliet."
Marcellus relayed the information verbatim and received an affirmative response from Dean Anderson. He expressed his gratitude sincerely, "Thank you for your help."
"You're welcome, Mr. Perkins."
Seeing him hang up the phone after a few words, Beryl anxiously asked, "How, how did it go? Can it be arranged?"
Royal Hospital is the most authoritative public hospital in Jewel City. Even under normal circumstances, getting surgery arranged is not a simple task, let alone at this sudden notice.
Marcellus tightened his grip around her small hand, "It's already being arranged."
Beryl's heart was racing. She had just gotten out of the car and was about to return to school when she suddenly received a call from home, saying that Amir was about to undergo surgery.
Her family doesn't live in Jewel City, but in the neighboring city, Brigt City, where the medical conditions are far inferior. She had no idea when her father had come here for treatment.
It must have been the family trying to prevent her from being distracted, so they kept it from her.
But how could they keep something like this from her?
The shock of finding out now was much greater than if she had known earlier. Amir had always been strong and healthy; how could he suddenly fall ill?
