Beryl felt helpless yet amused. She never thought Marcellus would be this clingy and playful. Now, she felt like she was the male in the relationship, and he was the female.
Well, when Marcellus acted cute, she had to indulge him a little. She thought to herself that she had been pushing his buttons lately, so occasionally, she should soften up.
Thinking this, Beryl handed the popcorn to him. In the darkness, Marcellus leaned down, taking a piece of popcorn, but he also playfully nibbled on her fingertip.
Feeling the warmth and moistness against her lips, Beryl recoiled slightly and whispered, "What are you doing?"
"What 'what'?" Marcellus feigned innocence, his enchanting eyes reflecting the light from the screen, looking very alluring. "What's wrong with me?"
His expression seemed to accuse Beryl of being so unreasonable, instantly making her appear like a rather inept girlfriend.
Beryl could only silently retract her hand, pretending that nothing happened.
Soon, the movie began, and it was a film she had been looking forward to. As the lights in the theater dimmed, Beryl immediately immersed herself in the story.
She didn't say much to Marcellus the whole time.
Little did she know that Marcellus's gaze remained fixed on her the whole time, never wandering more than a few times.
There were moments when Marcellus couldn't help but want to kiss her, but seeing how engrossed she was, he didn't want to disturb her and held back.
Why did he like her so much?
This was truly an unsolvable problem.
From the moment he first saw her, he had only one thought - to teach her a lesson and make her understand the consequences of offending him.
However, deep down, was there a moment when he felt attracted to the girl in front of him?
There must be.
