When they came downstairs, the dishes on the dining table, which should have been pleasing, were scattered. It was obvious that they were leftovers. 

The perpetrator was sitting behind the table, leisurely drinking the hot water in the cup. 

Seeing her coming down, Mia said shamelessly, “Miss Shelton, 

your parents are really good at cooking. This is one of the best 

dishes I’ve ever eaten.” 

Evelyn didn’t feel very honored to receive such an evaluation. 

She hadn’t expected Mia to be so thick-skinned as to do such

“It’s good that you like it.”
