Huston had been walking for over 30 years and had never been afraid of anything as an adult. He had only lost control of the tears in her eyes. The tears falling from her eyes were enough to defeat him.
It would have been fine if he hadn't said that. Suddenly, Huston became gentle, and Evelyn's tears couldn't stop flowing. The words that came to her mouth turned into sobs.
Huston didn't take another step forward. His desire hadn't subsided, and his body couldn't react. When his gaze landed on the woman's naked body in front of him, it only increased.
Huston turned around, took his suit jacket from the bedside, and put it on her shoulder. The suit was large enough to cover the middle part of her thigh.
After that, Huston took a few steps back, took a cigarette from his pocket, and lit it up. He smoked as if using the pungent smell to cover up his extravagance.
It was not easy to start his desire that had accumulated for five years.
The woman's suppressed sobs fell into his ears in the quiet room. Her voice was not loud, but it made his heart ache.
At this moment, someone knocked on the door, followed by the assistant's respectful reminder. "Mr. Lloyd, Miss Shelton's phone is ringing."
Evelyn held her breath. The people who could call her now couldn't be from the company. There was no one she could contact in her private social circle in the middle of the night, only Bert and Lucas.
Thinking of them, Evelyn tensed up again. She subconsciously looked at the man behind her, but he lowered his head and smoked. After a while, he went straight to the door and took her phone in.
Huston's deep eyes did not miss the name on the screen - Bert.
The man frowned slightly, but in the end, he returned the phone to her. If he didn't give it back, he would probably cry again.
