When she woke up the next morning, Evelyn went to the bedroom to check on the child's condition. Fortunately, the child was the same as usual, with little emotional and mental fluctuations. Only then did she feel relieved.
Grace knew her current situation, so she especially took a day off. Early in the morning, she went out to buy breakfast for them. A young lady, who had not worked much since she was born, was cooking soy milk for them.
Evelynwas touched and thanked her, but Grace rolled her eyes at her. "What are you talking about? Sit down and eat."
The three of them ate Small Steamed Buns, fried dough sticks, and soybean milk. From time to time, Grace would ask Lucas where he wanted to go in Jewel City. The atmosphere was relaxed as they talked and laughed. Unfortunately, this atmosphere did not last long before it was interrupted by a phone call.
It was an unknown number. Looking at the unfamiliar number, she picked it up after hesitating for a while. "Hello?"
"Hello, is this Miss Shelton?" It was a woman with a sharp voice. It was obvious that she was young and very polite.
"It's me. Who are you?"
"This is the director of Little Sprouts Academy, Ethan Walker. It seems that you plan to let your child enter the school. Since the kindergarten only opens to students twice a year, you can just enter as a transferred student.
"Wait." Evelyn interrupted her and was almost confused by her words. "I haven't consulted anyone about it. Where did you get my contact information?"
Hearing her words, the kindergarten director was also stunned, as if to confirm something. After a while, she insisted, "It's your phone number. It's an old man surnamed Huston who left the number."
His surname was Huston.
Her fingers tightened around her phone, and blood rushed to the top of her head. She refused her with a tough attitude. "My child doesn't need to enter the kindergarten, and I don't intend to do that. Goodbye."
