The car drove in the direction of the villa. The road was not strange at all. The closer they got, the clearer it became. In fact, Bert was right about one thing. She had never let go of the past and had never forgotten it.
The driver was very good at driving and avoided the bumpy road all the way. The two of them sat in the back seat and basically didn't talk much. Evelyn kept looking out of the window, but the person beside her kept looking at her.
Half an hour later, the car drove into the gate of the villa. After five years, she returned to this place full of memories. She felt lost, but more of a kind of tension, as if her body was wrapped in a big net, dull and crowded, which made her feel a little uncomfortable.
On the other side, Sadie heard the sound of the car being turned off in the yard. She had been watching Lucas draw, so she immediately led Lucas to the door to welcome Mr. Lloyd. She thought that Mr. Lloyd would come back alone, but she didn't expect to see a familiar face.
Looking at Evelyn walking over, the eyes of Sadie, who was in her fifties suddenly turned red. "This, this is..."
After all, she was elderly. She was so emotional that she couldn't speak for a moment.
Looking at the kind face in front of her, Evelyn could tell from the joy in her eyes that she was very about her return. She opened her arms and hugged her. "Long time no see, Sadie."
Sadie was moved and secretly wiped her tears. "It's been too long. I thought... Alas, that's enough. It's good that you're back!"
"Mom!" Lucas stood aside and felt that he had been ignored, so he shouted at her.
Only then did she let go of Sadie. She squatted down and pulled Lucas into her arms. Holding her chubby body in her hand, she suddenly felt a lump in her throat. "Lucas, did you miss me?"
"Yes, I miss you very much!" After Lucas finished speaking, his loud voice was a little choked with sobs. "I dreamed of you last night."
