Chapter 899 The Furthest Distance
At three o'clock in the afternoon, he changed into clean clothes. It was not his previous shirt and suit, but black sportswear. The straight material made him uncomfortable. The driver drove the car to the underground garage of the clinic. He took the elevator and then got into the car.
Forty minutes later, the car stopped at the gate of a private primary school. Many luxury cars were waiting outside. From time to time, parents would get out of the cars and look inside the school.
It was the school that Lucas attended.
Huston's gaze was locked onto the bustling crowd. Not long after, he caught sight of a familiar figure. The woman was wearing a thin white knitted shirt matched with a pair of lotus pink trousers, accentuating her slender figure. The light color suited her temperament perfectly.
Huston stared at her unblinkingly. It had been a while since they last met. Even though he was just sitting in the car and looking around, it was as if he could smell the faint fragrance of her hair.
She was so beautiful that passers-by couldn't help looking at her.
She took Lucas by the hand and walked toward the car. From time to time, she would lower her head and say something to the child, as if they were sharing what they had seen and heard today or talking about what to eat for dinner. A faint warmth surrounded them.
She was a good wife and mother. Seeing that Lucas was so well taken care of by her, he felt an indescribable feeling in his heart.
He was grateful, but more importantly, he loved her deeply.
It was said that all the women in Jewel City wanted to marry him, but he felt that it was his blessing to be able to marry her.
She led Lucas into the car. The car started, and Huston followed closely behind, afraid that she would discover them. They were not too far away from the car and would not be noticed.
The mother and son did not go home. Instead, they drove the car to the door of the flower shop. After the signboard was hung up, the shop was basically ready, except for getting the flowers in.
It was the first time for Lucas to come here, so he was very curious. He happily strolled around the store like a cute elf.
The car was parked on the opposite side of the store. Huston saw that she had taken out a champagne rose and two bouquets of baby's breath, and she made a wreath in no time.
