Although she warned Bruce, Mandy knew very well that he would not give up. It was impossible for Bruce not to disturb Jack just because of her warning.
"I have to tell Jack all this. He has the right to choose," Mandy looked down and thought.
Returning home in the evening, Jack keenly noticed that Mandy was in a bad mood and looked at her worriedly. "What's wrong with you?"
Mandy looked at Jack solemnly. "I met my former teammates."
"Teammates?"
Although Jack didn't know what had happened, he could tell from Mandy's attitude that their relationship might not be good.
Mandy nodded and strolled to the balcony.
"Have I never told you my past?" Mandy forced a soft smile.
Jack saw her look and felt a stabbing pain in his heart.
He stepped forward and hugged Mandy. "You don't have to say anything if you don't want to."
What he cared about was not her past but her present and future.
If her past made her suffer, he wished Mandy never remembered it.
Mandy looked at him for a while and suddenly smiled.
"Actually, it's fine. After all, it's been so long." Mandy took out a cigarette and lit it without bringing it to her mouth.
