Chapter 1083 Joe saved Charlotte

The sudden stop of the van startled Charlotte. She cautiously stepped back.

To her surprise, a strong hand reached out from the van, firmly grabbing her wrist.

"What do you want?" Charlotte anxiously tried to pull her hand back, but the grip was too strong.

Looking around in fear, before she could call for help, a figure suddenly rushed out. Joe swiftly grabbed a folding chair from a nearby restaurant and fiercely swung it at the arm.

The person in the van was taken aback and quickly withdrew their hand.

"What are you trying to pull? Don't start trouble for no reason," a bald man suddenly appeared from the van, glaring fiercely at Joe.

Joe coldly raised his eyes and shielded Charlotte behind him. "Get lost."

Despite Joe's casual attire, his demeanor made the bald man instinctively hesitate. This man was not to be trifled with.

Seeing the crowd gathering, the bald man realized that their plan had failed. He glared at Joe and then reluctantly slammed the van door shut, speeding away.

"Thank you," Charlotte politely thanked Joe, then quickly dialed the police to report the van's license plate.

"He's Joe Smith, a well-known figure in the management department," Eva introduced. "He's said to be the sole heir of the Smith Group, excelling not only in academics but also making millions through his investments even before joining the family business."

Charlotte thought for a moment. "After dinner, accompany me to buy a gift."

After dining at a small restaurant, they took a taxi to a nearby mall. Charlotte confidently led Eva to the luxury store on the top floor.

"Isn't this place a bit too expensive?" Eva, who was visiting such a luxury store for the first time, discreetly looked around and whispered to Charlotte, "You didn't waste any time this afternoon."

Charlotte smiled without saying a word.
