In response, Sharon and Skylar appeared quite indifferent. After all, in a place like this, screams were not uncommon. Whether they were from men or women, they both heard them.
And what they couldn't afford to give was sympathy.
Little did they know, trouble would come looking for them even if they didn't seek it out.
The door to the VIP room was violently pushed open, revealing a well-dressed but slightly disheveled woman who cried out to them, "Please, save me!"
Sharon was about to refuse when Joe suddenly stood up, looking at the woman in disbelief.
"Get lost!"
The thugs behind the woman wanted to reach out and grab her, but Joe sternly stopped them.
The thugs understood that anyone sitting in the VIP room was not to be trifled with. However, this woman was also one of the auction items this time, and they couldn't afford to lose her.
"What's going on?" Dylan, who had walked over, frowned upon seeing the tense atmosphere in the VIP room.
"This gentleman wants to keep auction item number 5," one of the thugs hesitated as he explained to Dylan. "You know, once there's a problem with an auction item, we have to take responsibility."
Joe's gaze remained fixed on the woman, his brows furrowed tightly.
"Consider it bought by me, no matter how much money you offer," Joe said, looking at Dylan. Dylan hesitated for a moment but eventually agreed.
Seeing someone stepping in, the thugs didn't continue their pursuit and quickly left the area.
Dylan, holding the investigation results, turned his gaze to the visibly frightened woman.
He instructed the waiter outside the door, "Take this lady to freshen up..."
"Wait." Joe stopped the waiter and turned to Dylan. "Can you perform a paternity test here?"
