Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 371

She was out of options!

Pulling her phone from her pocket, she declared, "I've got a recording that proves everything I'm saying is true."

Jillian never expected Odelia to be so crafty, secretly recording their conversation. Panic started to creep in, though she clung to a flicker of hope.

Maybe Odelia was bluffing. Maybe there was no recording at all.

But as the recording played, filling the room with their voices, Jillian's last shred of hope shattered.

"Ms. Jillian, do you have anything to say for yourself?"

Mr. Richard's face was stern, his eyes full of disapproval.

No one likes a person of questionable character, let alone someone downright malicious. People like Jillian didn't deserve to stay at the University of Maple Grove.

"I..."

Jillian stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence. The recording was irrefutable; there was no room for denial.

Christian's expression soured. They had the upper hand, but the recording turned the tables.

Unable to muster a defense, Mr. Richard turned to Christian. "Mr. Turner, you've heard the recording. What do you think?"

Christian didn't answer directly but countered, "What do you suggest we do, Mr. Richard?"

"Since both parties are at fault, making a big deal out of this benefits no one. A major reprimand for each and a five-thousand-word reflective essay. Does that sound fair?"

Mr. Richard sought the opinions of Raul and Christian.

"Mr. Turner, as the University of Maple Grove's Mr. Garcia, I must remain impartial. Odelia cannot be expelled. As for your daughter, whether she continues her education here or withdraws is entirely up to you."

Mr. Richard was genuinely angered, his tone far from the pleasant demeanor earlier, now laced with deep impatience.

"Mr. Turner, are you determined to make an enemy of the Grant family?"

Christian's expression darkened, venomous like a snake ready to strike.

"Mr. Turner does have quite the authority."

Suddenly, a mocking voice came from the doorway.

Two young men in suits walked in, strides confident. The one on the left wore a cold expression, while the one on the right crossed his arms, not bothering to hide the scorn on his face, defiant.
