Kaylee nodded, following Wendy to the back to arrange the flowers.

Not too far away, a senior in a red student council uniform watched Wendy and Kaylee chatting with a tinge of jealousy. She had been in the council for a year and had never seen Wendy being so friendly with her.

6 PM.

Everything was just about ready, just waiting for everyone to arrive.

"Hey, did you hear? Rafael got to the school through a secret passage and is now in Mr. Garcia's office!"

"Does that mean we'll see Rafael soon?"

Kaylee was arranging flowers when she heard Rafael's name, and her hands paused for a moment. Even though she had met Rafael several times in private and even had dinner with him, her heart still raced as a fan.

"Kaylee, quick, give me a hand with this!" A girl in a red staff vest came in carrying a huge box and asked Kaylee to help. "What are you daydreaming about?"

"Oh, right! Coming!"

Kaylee snapped back to reality and hurried to help, but the girl let go before Kaylee was ready. Startled, she managed to catch the box, but it was too heavy, causing her to stumble backward.

She stepped on the flowers she had just arranged.

"Kaylee!"

A senior's angry voice boomed from behind: "What’s wrong with you? You can’t even handle a simple task!"

Kaylee placed the box on the ground, ignoring her sore hands, and quickly turned around, her face paling at the sight of the crushed flowers.

"I didn’t mean to..."

The senior stormed over and shoved her hard: "Those were for Rafael! The event is about to start, now what?"

The senior kept scolding her.

Flora and her friends came back from getting their makeup done and saw the scene unfold.
