Upon hearing this, everyone gasped.
No wonder Aisha was so frantic; it was a limited edition necklace handcrafted by Rose herself. Rose was renowned for her fashion designs and rarely dabbled in accessories, which made this piece all the more precious. Not to mention, it bore Rose's exclusive engraved signature.
Aisha pursed her lips, trying to appear understanding. “Miss, I don’t want to blow this out of proportion. Just return the necklace, and we can forget this ever happened.”
“How can you accuse our lady of stealing without any proof? Are you planning to slander her based on mere speculation?” Tony stood protectively in front of Flora, his face dark with anger.
If Aisha didn’t want to make a scene, why accuse Flora of theft in front of all these people? Publicly accusing any girl of stealing, regardless of the truth, would destroy her reputation. This had to be intentional!
“She was the only outsider in the lounge, acting all suspicious. The necklace vanished right after she showed up. Who else could it be but her!” Lindsey shouted. “What, you think we’re framing her?”
Aisha was a celebrity, after all. Fresh off an award win and basking in her newfound 'national sweetheart' status, she had no reason to falsely accuse a regular person. Most of the crowd believed Aisha, mentally labeling Flora as a thief. The disdainful looks sent Flora’s way were palpable. Directors and investors who had been interested in working with her quickly changed their minds. A person of low character and unrestrained greed had no place in the entertainment industry. Even if she did get famous, her past would drag her down.
