It was pointless...
The stall owner pocketed the big bill and, with a grin, handed the gun to Connor.
Connor took the gun, barely paying attention, and fired a shot.
Then...
He missed.
He was stunned.
Flora was too, but then she burst out laughing.
The founder of Empire Base, missing a shot at a carnival booth—it was beyond embarrassing.
Connor's eyes narrowed as he scrutinized the gun. Something was definitely off.
Without a word, he fired again, this time nailing the balloon dead center!
The stall owner kept smiling.
With a 'bang,' another hit!
The stall owner’s smile persisted.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
A series of shots rang out, each one hitting its target flawlessly.
The stall owner’s grin started to waver.
Connor was incredibly fast, barely aiming before firing off another shot.
And yet, every single one was spot on!
The stall owner’s expression shifted from amusement to dread.
"Another round."
Connor handed the gun back, signaling for another loaded one.
The stall owner broke into a cold sweat.
Now he realized Flora wasn’t kidding earlier.
With only half of the hundred-dollar bill gone, his booth was almost cleaned out.
"Look... buddy, how about I give you your money back, and you can pick anything you like from my booth? On the house. Just, please, no more shooting, okay?"
Connor’s face remained impassive.
He still remembered missing that first shot.
Especially in front of Flora.
It was humiliating.
Feeling Connor's intense gaze, the stall owner shivered. He glanced at Flora and a lightbulb went off!
"Hey, it’s no fun playing alone. Why not let your girlfriend have a go?"
