Flora’s voice slipped through the air like a curse from behind.
Libby’s back stiffened in an instant! She gulped, spun around, and tried to wear an innocent expression as she faced Flora. But her youth betrayed her. Instead of looking innocent, she came off as a bit of a fool.
“Think you can just leave like that?”
Flora looked at her lazily, her eyes narrowing slightly with a cold glint.
Libby protested, “Flora, I’ve already admitted I misunderstood you. Are you still going to hold onto this?”
Her words twisted the situation, making it seem like Flora was the one being unreasonable.
Flora thought Libby really shouldn’t have gone into medicine. She should’ve been in drama school instead. Libby had caused her trouble multiple times before, and Flora had always let it slide. But it seemed Libby had mistaken her kindness for weakness. If she didn’t teach her a lesson now, these incidents would just keep coming. So annoying.
Flora rubbed her wrist and said, “Post an apology on your forum and Twitter account, and then on Monday, we’ll have a school-wide announcement. Only then will this matter be settled.”
As Flora finished speaking, Libby’s hands clenched tightly at her sides. Her pride was her Achilles' heel. Being forced to publicly admit her mistakes was worse than death for her! She could already imagine the whispers.
They’d definitely say she was jealous of a classmate’s perfect score and had tried to frame her!
“No way!”
