Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 584

Could he really be part of Club 257?

What right did he have to invite her to join Club 257? Selene wasn't naive; she knew Howell's offer was likely meant to put the medical organization in a tough spot.

She shook her head, her face devoid of emotion.

Mr. Atticus's expression lightened a bit at her refusal.

Seeing her disagree, Howell didn't push further.

"The rain's coming down hard. Let's go inside and get out of it," Howell suggested, then added, "It's the president's order."

The president? S?

Selene's heart started to race!

Why would S invite her in? How did she even know about her? Had she been watching her these past few days?

Oh no, she hadn't worn makeup for the past few days and hadn't been at her best!

The more she thought about it, the more she regretted, her expression betraying her inner turmoil. Howell, noticing her show an emotion other than her usual icy demeanor for once, pushed up his glasses and looked at her with curiosity. "Shall we go in?"

Selene knew she shouldn't follow Howell, but the thought of S inviting her in made it impossible for her to refuse.

Ignoring the stares from Mr. Atticus, Susan, and the others, she nodded and followed Howell.

Susan watched them walk away side by side, her face almost twisted with jealousy.

Howell clearly had a thing for Selene, and S inviting her in like this meant he probably did too.

S was rarely seen, his mystique making him the dream guy for all the girls.

But really, anyone who could establish Club 257 couldn't be just anybody.

What was so special about Selene that so many men were willing to stand up for her?

...

On the other side, as Selene followed Howell into the hall, she couldn't help but ask, "Where's S? Where is he?"
