"Stop scratching!"
"Mr. Baker..."
Lance was on the brink of tears; he truly felt like he was losing his mind from the torment.
Just then, the door swung open, and everyone turned to look. When they saw Flora and Connor walk in, they were genuinely relieved enough to cry.
"Boss, Ms. Flora, thank goodness you're here!"
Lance had given in and scratched earlier, breaking the skin on his face, making it look pretty bad.
Flora gasped and quickly pulled several bottles of lotion from her bag.
"Rub this on your temples, under your nose, and behind your ears."
Jason and the others quickly did as Flora instructed.
After applying the lotion, the itchiness didn't disappear completely, but it was much more bearable.
Flora’s concoction was just a temporary fix to numb their nerves.
In three hours, the excruciating pain would return.
Worried that Crimson and her team might be in the same boat, Flora rushed to find her, with Connor silently following.
From a distance, they saw a crowd gathered outside the villa.
Crimson leaned against the door, addressing the crowd, "I've told you before, we are working on a solution. Please give us a bit more time."
"Give you time? Who's going to give us time? Look at what’s happened to us! This happened on your turf. If it wasn't you, who would believe that?"
People from various factions gritted their teeth, their faces menacing, almost wishing they could flay Crimson alive.
You couldn't blame them, really. Waking up in such a state would drive anyone mad.
Flora watched for a moment, then pulled Connor around to the back door.
Crimson was utterly exhausted from dealing with the crowd.
She was both itchy and in pain, barely able to muster any strength, yet she had to handle so many people.
