Crimson let out a cold, twisted smile before slamming her foot down on Susan's mouth.
"Looking to die, huh? I'll help you out!"
"Let her go!"
The sudden intervention from other faction members, witnessing Crimson's attack on Susan, sent shockwaves through the crowd.
Susan was Mr. Atticus's protégé, after all! Crimson had already crossed the line with Mr. Atticus, and now hitting his disciple only made things worse. They knew they'd be the ones to pay the price.
They quickly moved to pull Crimson and Susan apart, using their numbers to their advantage.
Susan was helped up, her face swollen like a balloon, with a clear shoeprint marking her cheek. Furious, she shook off the hands helping her, eyes blazing as she glared at Crimson, who was being held back by others.
With a swift motion, she slapped Crimson across the face, the sound echoing through the space.
Crimson, pinned down, couldn't fight back and had to take the hit. But Susan wasn’t done; she slapped Crimson over a dozen more times.
"Enough already!"
Elio, a cool-headed figure from the crowd, stepped in, grabbing Susan's wrist. He had no interest in the feud between Club 257 and the medical group, but Crimson was a rare talent, not someone to be humiliated.
"Isn't this too much? Your master wanted an apology, not for you to beat her senseless," he said.
Many in the crowd agreed with Elio. They didn’t believe their poisoning had anything to do with Club 257 or Crimson.
"Come on, it’s just a spat between women. Why get involved?" Others tried to downplay the situation, thinking a few slaps wouldn’t kill anyone. They just wanted Susan to calm down so they could get the antidote from Mr. Atticus.
