"Oh my gosh, Miss, your hand is all red!" Elijah exclaimed, staring at Abbey's reddened wrist before angrily turning his gaze to Flora. "Our Miss is a top medical genius. Do you even realize how important her hands are to her? How could you be so cruel!"

Flora didn't bother responding, unwilling to waste her breath on fools.

She glanced over at Moss and Beck, seeking an explanation with her eyes.

"Ma'am!"

Beck spoke first, the sudden title catching Flora off guard.

If Connor was their boss, that made Flora their ma'am, naturally!

Beck deliberately addressed Flora this way to show Abbey who really ruled Shallow Bay!

She didn't take Flora seriously, eager to please Abbey, and so she was downright rude.
