Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 749

Upon hearing the remarks, Flora lifted her gaze, her face expressionless.

Debra tilted her head and scoffed, "Don't you think you're being incredibly rude? Earlier, when Joy offered you bread and milk, you turned your nose up at it. Now, if it weren't for Joy, you'd still be suffering on that crowded bus!"

"Yeah, some people don't have any skills but have all the attitude."

"Enough!"

Mr. Tanner couldn't take it any longer and roared angrily, "Are you here to bicker or to compete? Get on the bus now!"

He wasn’t blind; he had seen them isolating Flora the whole way.

Debra pouted and muttered defensively, "But it's true, Flora really has no manners!"

"Miss Joy, is this woman disrespecting you? Should we teach her a lesson?" A member of the White family chimed in.

Their tone dripped with disdain for Flora, as if she was beneath them.

Just a woman from Austenberg.

In fact, they didn't think much of Joy either.

But since Joy was someone their young lady specifically asked them to treat well, they had to be polite.

"No, no..." Joy quickly shook her head, pulling Debra aside and softly said, "Alright, that's enough. Let's get on the bus."

"Joy, you're just too kind. If it were me, I wouldn't even let her on the bus," Debra grumbled, still unwilling to drop it.

Joy sighed, her expression a mix of helplessness and hurt, as she guided Debra onto the bus.

Everyone boarded, leaving only Flora and Selene behind.

"Flora, Selene, get on the bus," Mr. Tanner called out.

Flora, holding her phone in one hand, replied lazily, "You guys go ahead, I’m not coming. Someone’s picking me up."

"Someone's picking you up?" Debra leaned out, looking at Flora like she had just heard the funniest joke.
