Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 819

The room went silent as everyone’s expressions shifted dramatically. Flora had laid it out so clearly that no one could misunderstand her meaning. It dawned on them all: Karter’s earlier recovery was entirely thanks to Flora!

No wonder Abbey was at a loss when Karter fell ill again, completely clueless. She just didn’t have the chops for it!

The crowd's gaze on Abbey changed, their looks now tinged with a mix of curiosity and judgment. They remembered her previous claims all too well. Despite Flora being the one to cure Karter, Abbey had the gall to accuse her of causing his illness. Talk about twisted!

Flora’s ability to clear her name saved her from taking the fall. Under the weight of their stares, Abbey’s face drained of color, turning a ghostly white. She couldn’t argue against it. Flora had healed Karter with just a few treatments, showcasing her far superior medical skills. It was undeniable.

Abbey wrestled with disbelief. How did Flora manage to heal Karter so swiftly? Were her skills really that extraordinary?

“Oh, so that’s the deal,” Kruz said, realization dawning on him. His eyes, now filled with contempt, rested on Abbey as he scoffed, “Some folks brag about being geniuses, yet they’re just mediocre, trying to claim credit for others’ work! They almost cost a life too!”

“Abbey, aren’t you going to thank Flora? If it weren’t for her, you’d be facing the consequences of a lost life,” Kruz added, his words cutting deep. Overcome with shame and anger, Abbey couldn’t bear to stay any longer; she turned and bolted from the room. Sticking around would only add to her embarrassment.

“Miss Flora, we’re truly sorry… We got it all wrong and said some awful things…” The relatives awkwardly approached Flora, offering their apologies. Their earlier behavior towards her had been way out of line.

“Finally realizing you crossed a line? Speaking so softly, do you want the mosquitoes to hear? Louder!” Kruz interjected with a huff.

“We’re sorry, Miss Flora…” This time, their apologies came out louder and more genuine.

Flora didn’t pay them much attention, turning instead to Adrian. “Karter’s in the clear now. I’ve left some medicine, with all the instructions written down. Stick to the schedule, and he should be back on his feet in no time.”

She handed Adrian a slip of paper with the medication names. Adrian quickly accepted it, “Thank you, Flora, thank you so much!”

“Alright, let’s head out.”

With her job done, Flora had no reason to stick around. Just as she was about to leave, Karter called out to her.
