Feeling vulnerable and exposed, I tried to cover my body with my hands as I curled myself up into a ball on the wooden bench. I know that the start to this whole situation was my fault, but this is going too far.

“Feel ready to tell me the truth now?” Reiner asked lazily.

He watched me intently after crouching down with one arm resting on one knee, the other supporting his head as he leaned on it as he gazed at me quizzically. I must look like such a mess to him, and I hated it.
