XANDER’S POV

The blare of the alarm jolted me from my sleep, and I cursed as I reached for it. But my hand was heavy, and I ended up throwing it on the ground, the sound now echoing through the room.

“Fuck!” I growled as I opened my eyes, wincing as the sun hurt my eyes. The hangover was hitting me hard, and my head was pounding.

I sat up and looked around, the room was a mess. Empty bottles of alcohol were scattered around, and the smell of stale alcohol and sex filled the room. I remembered the harem of women I had summoned the night before, and I could feel the fading pleasure still lingering down there. I knew that I should have felt satisfied, but instead, I felt empty and alone and utterly terrible.

I dragged myself out of bed, away from the sheets that entangled me in their minute folds, my body feeling heavy and sore. The bed was a large four-poster, with a dark red comforter and pillows. The bedspread had a wolf pattern on it, reflecting the Alpha's nature.

I walked to the window, and I could see the sun shining through the trees. I knew that I had to get out of there, clear my head, and think about what I had to do next even though my whole body was screaming that I needed more sleep. I walked to the bathroom, growling in annoyance rather than pain when I hit my leg on the foot of the shelf. The room was furnished with a large armchair and a fireplace, with a large rug covering the floor. A large bookshelf filled with books and trophies of my hunting and battles adorned one wall. And as I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel disgusted with what I saw. My eyes were bloodshot, and my hair was a mess. I had dark circles under my eyes, and my skin looked pale and sickly.

I took a shower, letting the hot water wash away the memories of the night before. I scrubbed my body hard as if I could wash away the guilt and shame I felt. But it was still there, like a heavy weight on my shoulders.

After I was done, I got dressed and walked out of the room. I knew that I had to talk to Adriana, to apologize, and to try and make things right between us. It wouldn't be easy, but I had to try. I couldn't keep punishing her and myself.

My room was large and spacious, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The walls were painted a dark shade of gray, and the floors were made of hardwood. The bathroom was equally grand, with a large bathtub made of marble, and a separate shower. The walls were tiled with white and gray marble, and there was a double sink vanity.

The counter too was made of marble, and there were several bottles of colognes and aftershaves lined up. The bathroom had a large window with a view of the forest. The window had a large curtain that was closed and the room had a dim light. The bathroom was also decorated with a large mirror, with a wolf head carved on the top.

I gently lowered myself into the large bathtub made of marble, with golden faucets and a separate shower, a calm feeling enveloping me once my skin came in contact with the cold water.

The shower was surrounded by glass walls and had multiple shower heads. There were fluffy white towels hanging on the towel rack and a variety of soaps and shampoos. The bathroom was also decorated with a large mirror, with a wolf head carved on the top, reflecting the Alpha's nature. The floor was made of marble, and the bathroom had a dim light, creating a relaxing and calming atmosphere. The window had a large curtain that was closed and a view of

the forest.

I spent a lot of time lazing in the bathtub even after I was done, I was thinking about a lot of things, things I had to face again.

I walked to my wardrobe, which was a large wooden armoire with a large mirror on the front. I opened the doors and stepped inside. The wardrobe was organized, with all my clothes neatly folded and hung. I had a variety of suits, jackets, and pants, all in dark colors like black, navy blue, and gray. I also had a collection of leather jackets and coats, perfect for the colder weather.

I scanned through the clothes, looking for something to wear. I finally settled on a black suit. The jacket had a single button and a sleek design, with a black shirt underneath. I paired it with a pair of black pants and finished it off with a pair of black leather shoes. I completed the look with a black leather belt with a silver buckle. I picked up a silver watch from the dresser and put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror, and was satisfied with my choice.

I was still checking myself out in the mirror when I heard a knock on the door, and I quickly walked toward it. I opened the door where one of my guards was standing there, his name was Rafael. His smell had greeted me even before I opened the door so I was surprised to find him there. He mostly informed me of anything urgent if I didn’t permit for anyone to be let into my private bed chambers. The guard was dressed in a black uniform, with a chest plate adorned with the symbol of the Pack. He had a belt around his waist, with a holster that held a gun. The guard's hair was slicked back, and his face was expressionless.

"My Alpha," the guard said, "Your sister, Daciana, wishes to speak with you." I nodded and quickly closed the door behind him, using my biometric card. I walked down the passageway, toward the living room. I was curious as to what my sister wanted to talk to me about, but I was guessing it had to do with Adriana.

Daciana was the kind of person who never rested until she got what she wanted. I knew that it must be important for her to seek me out. As I walked, I could already sense the weight of my guilt and shame heavy on my shoulders, knowing Daciana would be hard on me. She was only trying to make things right between us though but one thing for sure was that letting her out wasn’t going to be easy. That’s why the conflicting propositions from Donovan and her seemed to be driving me crazy.

As I entered the living room, I saw Daciana sitting on the couch, her expression was worried and her eyes filled with concern. But they changed immediately she saw me, she looked at me pitifully. She stood up as soon as she saw me enter, and rushed towards me. I knew that whatever she wanted to talk to me about, it was going to be a difficult conversation.
