From Divorce To Dominance novel Chapter 111

Chapter 111
The entire audience was captivated by the musical feast brought by Natalie and Leon.
The elegant piano notes matched the rich, earthy tones of the saxophone. It was a bold attempt, and the result was surprisingly beautiful and mesmerizing.
Katie, who was famous among the judges for her strict standards, was the first to give feedback after listening.
Her words were full of praise and admiration.
"Ms. Xavier, without a doubt, your team will be the first place. The music was great, and the performance was amazing. You totally deserve it!" This was a very high compliment.
Among the five judges, Katie was the most experienced and authoritative. With her giving such a high evaluation, the other judges, being savvy, would not dare to say anything negative.
After the performance of Natalie and Leon, it was Alice's turn.
Alice came from a girl group, and her partner happened to be a male group idol. They played to their strengths and performed a singing and dancing act. As soon as the music started, they gave it their all.
Everyone's attention was drawn to the performance, but Chloe couldn't take her eyes off Natalie, her gaze filled with resentment and jealousy. She thought, 'Tessa was put in jail because of Natalie, yet she continued to shine even brighter. Why? It isn't fair! I want to ruin Natalie to avenge my best friend!
Thinking this, Chloe turned her gaze to Vivian. She lightly clenched her fists.

Meanwhile, during the Sweet Love rehearsal, a plane landed at the airport.
Tony led the bodyguards, respectfully lining them up to wait.
Upon seeing Darren, Tony quickly stepped forward to greet him.
"Mr. Luther," Tony greeted, "the car is ready."
Darren, tired, pinched the bridge of his nose and signaled for Tony to lead the way.
He flew to Linton and stayed there for the past two days.
An unidentified force had been creating trouble for some of his companies, which required his personal attention to resolve, so he had no choice but to go.
Tony opened the car door of the Rolls-Royce. Darren elegantly got in and leaned back in the seat as he loosened his tie. The car slowly started. "Mr. Luther, shall we go back to the office?"
Darren furrowed his brows and lifted his eyelids to look through the rearview mirror. "To Sweet Love Base."
Tony immediately caught on. "It is Sweet Love's final performance today. They have rehearsals in the morning, and the official show is in the afternoon. Ms. Zavala returned to Greton yesterday and asked me about your whereabouts. She wants to see you."
Darren leaned back in his seat with an unreadable expression and asked in a calm voice, "How's the investigation I asked you about?"
Tony answered one by one, "Regarding the wedding dress, Alex's account was suddenly deactivated, so there's no way to track it down. That wedding dress can't be bought either."
"Forget about it then." Darren's eyebrows stayed still.
Clearly, he was not too concerned. "We'll just pick one she likes when the time comes. What about the private island?"
Tony continued, "We've found three islands that match the description. The owners are two men and one woman. None of the men have the last name Xavier, and the woman's last name is Glenn."
"Glenn?" Darren pressed his tongue against his teeth.
"What is the full name?"
Tony replied apologetically, "I only know her last name is Glenn. All other information is confidential."
Seeing Darren not responding, Tony quickly added, "Mr.
Luther, I still haven't found the gold miners you wanted me to track down."
"So after all that searching, you found nothing?" Darren chuckled dangerously.
Even without direct eye contact, Tony could feel the sharp glare from behind, making his hair stand on end.
"Tony, if you can't handle this, go herd sheep in Norldea with Howard." Darren's voice was filled with displeasure.
"No, no, Mr. Luther." Tony cleared his throat, hurriedly showing he was getting work done. "As for the old case from five years ago, I found some new leads."
He quickly said in one breath, "I've found those doctors who fled abroad. Once I confirm who they are, I can bring them back. Then you can ask them anything you want, Mr. Luther."
Darren still looked displeased and asked briefly, "When will they arrive?"
"The day after tomorrow," replied Tony.
Darren nodded and closed his eyes without saying another word.
Not long after, the Rolls-Royce stopped at the base entrance.
The staff recognized Darren immediately, hurriedly welcoming him and leading the way while explaining,
"Ms. Zavala is still in rehearsal. It will take another hour.
Mr. Luther, you can wait in her dressing room."
The dressing room was spacious, divided into two areas by a folding screen.
The outer section had a vanity, while the inner section had a couch and a bed for resting.
Darren had a rough couple of days on his business trip, so he sat down on the sofa for a quick nap.
He wasn't sure how long he had slept when suddenly, there was a noise in the room.
Darren, being a light sleeper, instantly opened his eyes, alert.
Through the thick screen, he could barely make out a blurry figure. Just as he was about to get up and check, another figure appeared.
The door wasn't even closed before the two people outside started arguing.
"Didn't I tell you to stop coming to me at the show? If people find out about our relationship, they'll say I'm playing favorites. It'll be bad for both of us."
It was a voice Darren knew well. It was Vivian's. But usually, she spoke softly to him. Now, she sounded irritated and harsh.
"Humph!" Chloe bumped Vivian's shoulder hard. "If you're afraid of me coming to you, then you should keep your promises."
Vivian scoffed, "What did I promise you?"
Chloe immediately got angry. "Last time, you said you'd handle Natalie. So why is she still fine? And to make it worse, she's going to be the top contestant today. I don't want to see that happen. Think of something to get her out."
Vivian was annoyed at the mention of this. No one wanted Natalie out of the picture more than she did. She didn't just want Natalie out, but she wished Natalie would disappear forever.
But Natalie always had bodyguards with her, and she was not a naive girl who fell for sweet talk. Trying to deal with her wasn't that easy. Besides, she seemed to come from a really special background.
Vivian had carefully planned each step to get where she was now. She wouldn't take on anything risky without having a solid plan.
Of course, trying to explain this to that idiot Chloe was pointless.
She replied coldly, "I can't think of a way."
"Can't think of a way?" Chloe's eyes flashed with malice.
"Fine. I've already thought of one for you."
Vivian pressed her lips together and looked at Chloe.
Chloe let out a sinister laugh, "There are two options.
Either you bribe Leon to mess up on purpose during the performance this afternoon to embarrass her, or you find someone to run her over with a car. That way, she won't be able to compete and won't be able to advance."
"If you want to act stupid and get yourself killed, don't drag me into it," Vivian sneered at her. "Did you not learn from what happened to Tessa? Can't you see how powerful Natalie is? Chloe, don't be foolish."
"But I can't stand her always stealing the spotlight," Chloe said through gritted teeth. "Why her? She doesn't even have the skills. She's just lucky. Leon's composition was so good that anyone could play it and still get first place."
She spoke with growing resentment and unwillingness,
"And you, Vivian, the only reason you can talk to me like this now is because you took my credit. Why are you acting so high and mighty? Do you really think I'm beneath you? If you don't help me, I'll go tell Darren right now that I was the one who saved him five years ago, not you."
