Chapter 80
Natalie threw the dirty tie into the trash can and turned to look at him.
They weren’t that far apart. She had just saved a person, and her cheeks were rosy, with tiny beads of sweat glistening on her nose in the sunlight. She was glowing, like a captivating fairy. Darren instinctively licked his lips.
Natalie didn’t notice that. She asked curiously. “Medical skills? Are you talking about saving that person?”
Darren came back to his senses, cleared his throat, and nervously said, “Yeah.”
Natalie chuckled. feeling amused. “Mr. Luther, that’s just the basics of first aid. How is that even a medical skill?”
“How did you know he was dizzy and had a headache, and even predict he would convulse?” he quickly asked. “And how did you conclude it was a brain issue?”
“It’s common sense. How do you not know this?” Natalie said, looking shocked. This is covered in middle school classes. It’s even possible to guess. How come you didn’t learn it in school?
Her sarcastic tone completely dissuaded him from asking further.
But she became intrigued and asked, “I got the impression you were hoping I have medical skills. Why? Do you have any health problems that you’re ashamed of mentioning?”
She sighed and said seriously, “To be honest, I’m the 66th disciple of the legendary doctor Rodney Rundle. Let me check your pulse. Maybe I can cure you
**
Darren squinted at her. The more she spoke, the less convincing she sounded. He took two steps backward, looking at her with a chilling smile. Right, how could he believe she had any medical skills? She had just repeated the exact same words. He’d nearly made a s**d mistake because he’d allowed his excitement to overcome him.
Darren was aware of Natalie’s intense feelings for him. Had she really saved his life, she would have mentioned it to gain his gratitude and make him fall in love with her. How could she have kept it a secret until now?
She would do anything to get him. Since she didn’t bring it up, it meant that she didn’t know about what happened five years ago. So it wasn’t her who had saved him back then. Darren realized he’d misunderstood. He looked at her outstretched hand, her two fingers slightly curving, as if she was going to check his pulse.
“Are you attempting to exploit me? You put your arm around my neck earlier, and now you want to hold my hand. He gently nudged her. “Have some self-respect, Ms. Xavier.
Natalie looked embarrassed but retorted, “It’s really unsettling to hear you say self-respect.”
“You!”
Tm hungry. Take me to grab something to eat, she remarked casually, taking a wet wipe from her purse to clean her hands. Darren experienced a range of inexplicable feelings after she clarified that she wasn’t the one who had saved him five years.
“Follow me.” He led the way, followed by her.
In the distance, the one who had been secretly filming them finally put down his/her phone.
This stalker thought, ‘Natalie dares to go on a date instead of hiding at home during such a trying time. Is this how she wants things made clear? Bringing a young man along to demonstrate that she has a boyfriend rather than a sugar daddy? But it doesn’t seem like a problem to have a boyfriend and a sugar daddy at the same time, does it? Whatever! No matter who this guy is to her, I got Natalie in the videos. Thousands of people will see them when I post them online.

They clicked the headlines without giving it any thought when they saw these video titles featuring Natalie’s name. Subsequently, they witnessed Natalie save a person on her knees and interacting with the suit-wearing, masked man.
Nobody seemed to care that Natalie had saved a life. These users couldn’t find fault with it. They consequently vent their anger out on her and that enigmatic man.

Darren was already seated in the private room when Darren saw these comments. His face darkened in anger, and even his breathing became heavier.
These users criticized everything. Though Darren anticipated that the video of Natalie saving that individual would be leaked, he thought it would somehow help restore her reputation. That was why he didn’t tell Tony to handle it beforehand. However, these users now found something in this to make fun of, and they included him. Darren’s eyebrows furrowed as he called Tony.
Tony was busy verifying the identities of those six elderly men so that he could visit them one by one.
He had no idea these seemingly unremarkable men were big shots in their industries.
When Darren called, Tony thought he was going to ask about the progress. Just as Tony was about to respond, Darren said coldly, “Deal with the videos of me and Ms. Xavier online.
“Huh?” Tony blurted out. “Mr. Luther, you also got caught in one of those videos?”
Darren gritted his teeth, too angry to speak, and hung up immediately.
“What are those people saying online?” Natalie suddenly asked.
Darren was furious. “Can’t you check it yourself?”
“You want me to read those nasty comments myself?” She ladled a spoonful of soup into a small bowl, raised her eyebrows, and looked at him. “Read them to me.
Darren looked at her amusingly, but she didn’t look back at him. After saying that, she lowered her head and continued eating, looking very focused. Her s**y red lips moved gracefully and captivatingly as she chewed and swallowed.

“Read them,” she urged-
Darren compromised; he needed to take her back to the Luther residence today, so he decided to indulge her for now. He clicked on Twitter again to access the comment section. He was about to read them when he realized that, in just a few minutes, the tone had changed.
