The new secretary.
Leo is silent. The personnel office is very efficient. He made the order yesterday and today they find him a new secretary.
“Come in first.” With that, Leo hangs up.
Claire looks at the phone and feels lost.
Doesn’t Leo recognize her voice? Even after six years, her voice hasn’t changed. Does he recognize it long ago but he is pretending?
Claire looks at Leo’s office door and is a little nervous.
As long as she opens the door, she can see Leo, whom she hasn’t seen in six years.
What will Leo look like the first moment he sees her? Will he be angry or forbearing? Will he slap her directly and humiliate her severely?
Claire thinks she thinks too much. Leo owes her. She doesn’t owe Leo!
If Leo beats her or even her son, she will fight back!
Claire opens the door to hell with trepidation.
“Are you the new secretary? What’s your name?”
Leo puts down his work and says thoughtfully as he turns the pen in his hand.
He didn’t expect the personnel department to arrange such an interesting woman for him. She is wearing a dark gray business suit and thick black glasses. Her hair is tacky and she looks ugly.
This woman is at least thirty or forty years old. Does the personnel department want him to have less contact with beauties or get married earlier?
Claire doesn’t know what Leo is thinking. She freezes when she hears Leo. He asks her what her name is.
Is her makeup so good that Leo can’t recognize her?
Claire thinks that is good. She doesn’t have to worry about what Leo will do to her. Since Leo can’t recognize her, she will naturally change her name and identity to survive.
Claire suppresses her emotions and nods. She stoops to Leo and says politely, “my name is Angie. Hello, president.”
Leo nods. Angie is a good name.
Leo wants to reach for the cup, but he finds that there is no coffee in it. He tells her, “make me a cup of coffee.”
“Yes, president.”
Claire goes to get Leo’s cup. When she approaches, she finds that after six years, Leo’s temperament has changed.
He becomes mature and less domineering than before. His face becomes soft and not as hard as before. He sits there quietly and looks like a successful man. He exudes the charm of a mature man.

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
