“I see.”
After listening to Luke, Claire relaxes. It turns out that the truth is so complicated. Bryce’s not dead, so she’s less stressed!
But she misunderstood Leo!
But anyway, Leo really wanted to kill Bryce!
Luke suddenly asks, “have you forgiven Leo?”
“I...” Claire freezes. Although Leo didn’t kill Bryce, Leo did kill her father. Father is more important in her heart than Bryce!
What’s more, Leo’s hurt to her before can’t be easily forgotten and forgiven!
Claire shakes her head and says coldly, “Bryce is not dead, but it doesn’t mean I don’t hate him. My hatred for him is ingrained. Even six years later, I still remember his hurt to me, and even if he didn’t kill Bryce, he also killed my own father! I will never forgive him!”
Claire’s words prove how much she hates Leo!
Luke can’t help sighing. He comforts her, “don’t say that. Leo is suffering for you.”
“Ha ha, is he suffering? I didn’t see it!” Claire sneers. Apparently she doesn’t believe Luke.
Leo is a jerk. How could he suffer? He’s always free and doing whatever he wants. He is totally indifferent to her ideas and dignity. He misunderstands her and insults her at will!
Even now that he has lost his memory, he has a fiancee. Is he suffering?
Claire doesn’t believe it, so Luke shakes his head helplessly. He knows that there are many misunderstandings between them and that they can not be eliminated in a short time.
Time will give them answers.
The atmosphere is depressing. Luke jokingly says, “you saw Bryce today. Did he recognize you?”
Claire remembers talking to Bryce in the tea room today. She sighs, “No. I’m so well disguised. He didn’t recognize me.”
Luke chuckles and looks at Claire. She is still wearing heavy black glasses and tacky clothes at the moment. No one will associate a woman in her thirties with that beautiful and stubborn woman six years ago.
So he chuckles, “at first I was cheated by you. If I didn’t think you were suspicious, I wouldn’t want to investigate you. I didn’t expect it!”

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
