“Sir, please let me leave. I am just being cheated. I... Please help me... ...” Claire Bennett stands up and tries to get a man’s hand to beg.
“Oh...” The man suddenly laughs and looks at Claire Bennett and says, “Were you cheated?”
“Yes!” Claire nods hurriedly, almost bewilders by the smile on his face.
“I see.”
The man nods, and when Claire Bennett is pleased that he would let go of her, she listens only to his slow quip, “But I am going to give you to the Mr. Campbell.”
Claire is shocked, looking at him incredulously.
Leo Howard sold her, the man bought her, and, as a result, he is going to give her to someone else?!
“Oh, hahaha, I don't know if this woman can satisfy Mr. Campbell. The host on the stage laughs unabashedly.
Claire Bennett’s face turns pale and she follows the silver-faced man with heavy shackles.
Looking up at the man, Claire Bennett finds that he is around the same height as Leo Howard, but that the air he breathes is totally different from Leo Howard’s bossiness and coldness, and that he is gentle but strong enough to resist.
“Sir, I do not know who is Mr. Campbell...”
Claire Bennett bites her lower lip and asks, but the man just pauses and ignores her.
Ignores her? Claire Bennett frowns and looks around. Anyway, she could not accept her fate. She has to run!
“I advise you not to waste your time, since I have bought you, you will not escape.” As if to guess what Claire Bennett is thinking, the man’s voice suddenly sounds, and then he reaches out and snaps his fingers, and immediately two men in black sunglasses, in black suits stands behind her.
With bodyguards?
Claire Bennett freezes.
That is it, Claire Bennett. Do you still expect to be saved? Leo Howard, he is just trying to insult her! They are married. How could he have sold her like that? Hmm!

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
