Thinking of this, Claire breaks away from Leo’s arms and says with an unnatural look, “it’s hot. Don’t hold me any longer.”
Hearing Claire’s words, Leo just smiles, but this time he doesn’t force Claire. He gets up and gets out of bed and goes to the bathroom for a bath.
Claire looks at Leo’s shadow in the sunset and calms down. She grabs the sheet with her hand and lies on the bed for a while before she gets up and dresses.
Claire can not help blushing a little as she watches the clothes strewn from her bedroom to the sofa. At the same time, she makes up her mind that she will not easily fall into Leo’s attack.
Leo takes Claire out to dinner after taking a bath. His attitude is neither too warm nor too cold.
Regardless of their ambiguous relationship, Claire likes this way of getting along. As long as they don’t quarrel every time they meet, how nice it is to get along peacefully.
After dinner, Leo takes Claire back. Leo says he has to do something at night so he leaves her alone in the room. If she’s bored, she can go out but don’t go too far.
Claire is not used to Leo, so she urges him to leave.
Leo leaves for hours. By the time he comes back again, he has drunk a lot. Fortunately, he is still awake.
Claire takes him to the bathroom for a bath, but Leo comes out and says he doesn’t want to leave.
“Hey.” Claire looks at Leo angrily. “President, you have your own room. Why do you sleep in my room? What’s more, I have only one bed in this room. You are not allowed to sleep in my bed!”
Leo wipes his hair with a towel lazily. As soon as Claire finishes, he goes straight to the sofa and sits down. He says lazily, “can I sleep here?”
“Do you have a fever?” Claire stares at Leo incredulously.
Claire is not used to Leo’s gentleness. Although she thinks it’s good for them to get along peacefully, she’s used to Leo’s bullying and unreasonable. She can’t get used to such a gentle Leo at all.
Leo glances at Claire casually and still languidly says, “you know if I have a fever. I’m so tired today. I’ll sleep here.”
“No way!” Claire refuses without thinking.
She decides to keep her distance from Leo.
“You can’t sleep here. A man and a woman share a room. I doubt if I’m safe, so you have to go out!” Claire says firmly.
However, Leo doesn’t care. He lies on his side on the sofa and supports his head with one hand. He looks at Claire languidly and orders, “I order you as your boss that I sleep here tonight!”

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
