“Why do you let him say it first? Claire, I...” Kate refutes Claire but is interrupted by her serious eyes.
Luke doesn’t care about her. He looks at Claire and says solemnly, “Claire, what I’m going to say next may be a little incredible to you. You have to be mentally prepared.”
Is there anything she needs to be prepared for?
Claire doesn’t care in her heart but she says seriously, “OK, I see. You can tell me.”
“Actually, Conan lives in my house now.” Luke says directly.
Claire is stunned when Luke finishes. She is so shocked that she suspects something is wrong with her ears.
She asks incredulously, “what did you just say? My son lives in your house?”
“Yes.” Luke is serious. He is not joking.
“...”
Claire freezes. She always thinks Conan is at Leo’s house. She didn’t expect him at Luke’s house! In this case, why didn’t he tell her earlier?
She asked Luke to help her find her son. Luke promised her and said he would, but he didn’t.
She didn’t expect Luke to tell her Conan is staying at his house!
After a long time, Claire regains consciousness. She looks at Luke and asks, “so why didn’t you tell me before?”
“Because...”
Luke wants to answer, but Kate interrupts him. She shouts with arrogance. “He didn’t dare to say it because he was guilty!”
“What do you mean?” After learning that her son is at Luke’s house, Claire gradually recovers from shock.
Although she still can’t understand why Luke does it, they know each other for a long time, so she chooses to believe Luke.
But Kate is her best friend for many years and Claire wants to know what she thinks, so she calmly looks at Kate, who is aggrieved, and wants to hear the truth.
Kate doesn’t answer Claire. She looks at Claire gravely and asks, “Claire, tell me honestly, is Conan the son of you and Leo?”
Claire is stunned. Kate asks her this question for the third time.
She doesn’t tell anyone that Conan is Leo’s son, including Kate.
She wants it to be buried by time, but if she remembers it correctly, people who know she is the little wild cat must have known about it. Claire can’t help but look at Luke and wonder if he told Kate.

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
