Juan smiles and touches Conan’s head. He says happily, “Conan is very smart. You should praise him.”
Conan, touched by Juan, smiles smugly and agrees.
Claire pretends to be unbearable. She says, “you eat first. I’ll go to the room and change.”
“OK.” Juan calmly picks up the bowl and starts eating. Conan sits on the other side watching him eat. They chat from time to time.
Seeing this, Claire goes back to her room.
No matter what Juan is here for today, they are getting along like they were in France. She has no reason to refuse Juan’s arrival.
Claire puts on her pajamas and waits in the room for a while before she is ready to go out. As soon as she reaches the corridor, she sees Juan coming in surprise.

Juan is much calmer. He raises his eyebrows and looks at Claire and asks in surprise, “didn’t you say you will go back to France when you find Conan? As far as I know, you found him yesterday. I don’t think you want to go back to France so I’d better get you to my house. We can take care of each other.”
She did, but...
Thinking of Conan’s request, she can’t leave. Conan wants her to make up with Leo. Although Claire is reluctant, she can pretend in front of Conan.
She is thinking about how to turn down Juan’s invitation. Juan says, “are you going to tell me that you are in love with Leo in this period?”
Claire inhales and looks at Juan in shock.
Juan seems to be threatening her. If she refuses Juan, it means she likes Leo and doesn’t want to go with him.
But if she doesn’t refuse, she’s really leaving Leo forever. She knows Juan. He hates Leo and will definitely not allow her to see Leo again.
Claire is in a dilemma.

The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
