With that, Tracy raises her hand angrily, trying to slap Claire.
Claire ducks quickly. She straightens up and confronts Tracy, “Leo and I don’t have the kind of relationship you say. Don’t frame us!”
As she speaks, Claire feels guilty. Tracy’s eyes are red and she cried just now and the makeup on her face means that Leo’s condition is very serious.
How serious is a person’s condition which makes people cry to this extent?
Claire is flustered to learn about this situation. How is Leo? Is he OK?
Claire has been upset since she learns that Leo will die. She seems to be losing something important. At this time, the conjecture is confirmed. When Claire sees Tracy crying, she is flustered.
So when Tracy scolds her, Claire can only subconsciously retort.
“No? The evidence of your going to City B is solid. And I saw you spend the night at Leo’s house! You’re still arguing! You’re shameless!” With that, Tracy raises her hand and tries to slap Claire.
This time Claire is worried so she doesn’t respond. Her cheek is scratched by Tracy’s fingernails, and a few drops of blood come out.
“...” Claire shuts up and notices a pain in her face. She wipes the blood on her cheek and looks at it. She stares at Tracy without saying a word. Her eyes are cold.
She suddenly regrets explaining to Tracy. Claire knows that Tracy hates her and wants to torture her. Now it’s normal for her to scold her for Leo.
How could Tracy listen to her explanation?
Tracy is stared at by Claire and uncomfortable. In order to pretend to be uncomfortable, she shouts angrily, “how dare you bitch stare at me! Who gives you courage!”
With that, Tracy raises her other hand and plans to hit Claire.
Claire coolly backs away from Tracy’s attack. She knows Tracy will not help her. She passes Tracy deadpan and wants to go straight into the ward to see Leo.
“Stop!” Being ignored, Tracy was very angry. She grabs Claire’s shoulder and tries to block her way.
Claire feels her shoulder being patted. She stoops slightly away from Tracy’s hand. She turns and says to Tracy deadpan, “I’m going in to see Leo now. Don’t stop me!”
She’s been blocked a lot today. Now she is in the hospital. Isn’t Tracy going to let her in?

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
