When the madam looks at Claire, Leo leaves.
The madam sits next to Claire. She looks at Claire at close range and smiles, “you are a beauty indeed.”
Claire immediately says nervously, “what did Leo say to you?”
The madam laughs, “it seems that you don’t know you are sold here by your master to be a princess. Ha ha!”
Claire’s whole body tenses suddenly, and she says in horror, “what? A princess?”
The madam squints and nods.
Claire suddenly feels herself waking up and rushes out the door.
Last time Leo sold her to an auction and she was miserable. This time he even lets her be a princess. Claire would like to rush back and kill Leo now.
But she has no chance.
Several tall men in black stop her. They push her down on the sofa under the direction of the madam.
Claire huddles tightly on the sofa. She puts her arms around her chest to protect herself and looks at the people in black carefully.
The madam laughs, “Miss Bennett, you can’t leave. I can’t bear the consequences.”
Claire says angrily, “you’re breaking the law. I’ll call the police.”
The madam laughs, “you call the police? Miss Bennett, don’t tell jokes. This is not a clean place.”
Claire breathes quickly. Her body is shivering and she is at a loss.
The madam says with a meaningful smile. “Here, you can indulge a little bit. Isn’t it too hard to hide all the time?”
Claire is angry and swears, “shut up, you old witch! Do you think everyone is as shameless as you?”
The madam sees Claire resist and scold her so she hits Claire’s delicate face.
Claire only feels pain in her face so she turns sideways.
The madam says viciously, “bitch! No one dares to fight me here. Who gave you the courage to do so? Who do you think you are?”
Then the madam glances at the bodyguards in black.
The bodyguards pull Claire’s hand as hard as they can to make her face the madam.
The madam laughs with pride. She lights a cigarette and begins to smoke. Then she sprays the smoke on Claire’s face.
Claire coughs violently. As soon as she moves, the big hand holding her hair is even harder. She weeps with pain.
The madam touches Claire’s smooth and white cheek. She gently puts her fingers around her hair and plays with it in her hand.
She approaches Claire’s face, pretending to sympathize with Claire and sighing, “Miss, this is not a good place. It doesn’t work out here.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
