Chapter 205 Do You Want to Say Sorry?
After Samara drank the soup, she picked up her knife and fork and started eating, totally ignoring Chaim and Gloria.
Samara did not bother to look at the two. Perhaps she felt that they were annoying and would spoil her appetite.
Chaim narrowed his eyes and turned to look at Gloria beside him. “Let’s eat.”
Feeling that Chaim was unhappy, Gloria did not dare to stir up trouble. She picked up her knife and fork and began to eat.
Samara enjoyed the meal, but Chaim didn’t eat anything.
This was the first time Chaim had eaten with Samara after their divorce, and it was also the first time he had seen Samara eat.
Samara did not eat fast. She chewed and swallowed gently, showing her good manners.
However, Chaim had never seen Samara like this before, or perhaps he had never noticed it.
It was not that they had never eaten together before. When the Humphrey family held dinner parties, Samara would sit beside Chaim, but he had never turned to look at her.
Sometimes when Gloria and Serena embarrassed Samara deliberately, Chaim would turn to look at her, but most of the time, she had already put down her knife and fork and smiled at him, as if she had not heard what Gloria and Serena said.
But other than that, Chaim did not give Samara any more looks.
Noticing that Chaim was looking at her, Samara had some more soup. Then, she took a wet tissue and wiped the oil stains on the corner of her mouth. Finally, she raised her head and met Chaim’s eyes. “It seems that you don’t have a good appetite. Is it because I annoy you?”
Samara wronged Chaim, but Chaim didn’t know what to say to defend himself.
Chaim would rather silently admit it than let Samara know that he was recalling their three–year marriage.
