Chapter 51 The Humphrey Family Is Not Great
After lunch, Gisselle dragged Samara to a shopping mall.
They entered a shop. Gisselle wanted to pick and choose, so she asked the salesperson to seal the entrance.
For a while, a strange female voice came from the door. “Which big shot is inside? Why is the entrance sealed?”
Samara was looking down at her phone. When she heard the familiar voice, she couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows
and look over.
Sure enough, Alva Brook and Beryl Wood were standing outside. They were Serena’s friends.
When Samara was in the Humphrey family, she was ridiculed by those two people.
Today, they met. How could Samara let Alva and Beryl leave so easily?
As soon as they finished speaking, they passed through the top bar and entered.
They were dressed in designer brands, and their bags were from last month’s fashion shows. They looked rich and
noble.
On the other hand, Samara was different. She wore simple clothes today. She wore a pair of black jeans, a navy–blue sweater, and a pair of medium–length Dr. Martin boots.
Although she was good–looking, other than the branded bag in her hand, everything else on her was plain.
Alva and Beryl walked straight toward Samara as soon as they entered. Alva sized Samara up from head to toe and clicked her tongue lightly. “So, it’s Mrs. Humphrey. Ah, I forgot. You and Mr. Humphrey have divorced. I should call you Ms. Novak.”
Gisselle was just about to speak when Samara stopped her. Then, Samara looked at the salesperson, and said, “Wrap up all the things we tried just now.”
