Thinking of this, he frowned, and couldn't help wondering if he was Catherine's son.
Catherine just had an emotional breakdown, which seemed so real.
Also, what Catherine just said made sense.
With these thoughts in mind, the air around him dropped several degrees.
Could he really be Catherine's son?
He clenched his fists.
If he really was, it meant he was the son of the woman who killed Martha's mother.
Stefan cast down his eyes and bit his lower lip.
He couldn't be Catherine's son.
Even if he was, he would never admit it.
After having been through so much, he managed to get Martha to accept him again. He wouldn't let his efforts be in vain.
That night, Stefan looked out the window at the dark night worriedly, wondering where Martha was now.
He missed her very much, but now he couldn't leave here at all.
Suddenly, it occurred to him that tomorrow would be Martha and King Ducasse's wedding.
He knew Martha was coerced, but his heart ached at the thought of her marrying someone else.
At this moment, he suddenly heard some footsteps coming from outside the door.
He lowered his eyes and knew that Catherine's men was coming.
Only royal guards' footsteps could sound so rhythmical.
Soon, the door was pushed open by Catherine's guards, and several men walked into the room with serious expressions.
The leading guard looked at Stefan who was lying on the bed, snapped his finger and said coldly, "Take him away!"
"Yes."
When the guards heard this, they rushed up and immediately helped Stefan out of bed.
Stefan frowned, and snapped, "Go away!"
But the guards who took him away didn't seem to hear this, and just kept taking him to Catherine's bedroom.
Ten minutes later, Stefan was brought into Catherine's palace and was put down in a bed.
Soon, a doctor brought a bottle of medicine.
Stefan frowned, and he asked coldly, "What are you doing?"
"It's medicine that's good for you."
Catherine's guard responded lightly, and tilted his head to signal the doctor to feed Stefan directly.
Immediately after, Stefan was held down, and forcibly given medicine.
Seeing this scene, the guard's eyes darkened unconsciously.
The medicine was used for healing wounds, but the one who took it would be unable to move or speak temporarily.
Surely, it wouldn't do any harm to his health.
After all, Stefan was who Catherine cared the most now.
To let Stefan witness Martha and King Ducasse's wedding, Catherine had the medicine taken by Stefan.
After the guard came back to his senses, he looked at the angry Stefan indifferently, and told the latter lightly.
"Catherine Queen Dowager wants you to attend the king's wedding tomorrow, and watch the king marry the queen with your own eyes."
Hearing this, Stefan gasped for breath, as if someone had stabbed him in the heart, the pain made it hard for him to even breathe.
Watching Martha marry the king!
