In actuality, Senior Zimmer was unwilling to allow Mandy to be in charge of the company’s finances. Doing so meant she would enjoy a powerful status among the Zimmers, to the extent she would influence Zack’s position in the family.

“Grandpa, don’t trust her! How could she possibly solve a problem this huge? York Enterprise even issued a legal letter to us! I’m afraid she might have conspired with York Enterprise beforehand. She just wants to use this opportunity to lie to us and gain an upper hand among the Zimmers!”

Zack was anxious. Before, he badly wanted to pin the blame on Mandy and make her take responsibility for the entire mess. Now, he was afraid if Senior Zimmer would truly agree to Mandy’s request.

“That’s right. If you really want control of the company’s finances, you should at least tell us how you’ll solve this problem.” Sean couldn’t help but say. He too didn’t want to see Mandy be given the right to manage the finances.

Before Mandy could speak, they heard a soft voice. “It’s very simple. I’ll just give a call to Yvonne to resolve it.”

They looked around, and realized it was Harvey who spoke.

“Harvey, do you think you have the right to speak here? You think that you can settle all this just because you were Yvonne’s classmate? Do you have any idea how much four hundred fifty million dollars is worth?” Zack gritted his teeth and glared at Harvey. “I don’t think you do. You always try to act smug and arrogant in front of me. Aren’t you afraid you’ll get punished for it?”

“Four hundred million dollars is not a small sum for York Enterprise, either. Yvonne is the secretary of the CEO, but she certainly can’t decide for a major issue such as this.”

“Has this live-in son-in-law gone mad? Does he have any clue what four hundred fifty millions dollars mean?”

“Everyone said he’s out of his mind. I don’t believe it before, but I do now!”
