“Nia, you need to apologize to my wife and her best friend. We can just let it go just like that. How about that?” Harvey said calmly, not at all disturbed by Nia’s insults.

“Mandy, is your husband out of his mind? Don’t you need to ask him to behave himself?” Nia frowned, turning to Mandy.

“He’s right.” Mandy replied icily. “Apologize to Angel now, and we can forget about this whole incident.”

Nia burst into laughter. “You asked me to apologize to Angel. You want me to apologize to your dog. Do you think she deserves that? Can she accept it?”
