Seeing that Mandy Zimmer had fallen asleep, Harvey York asked no more. He then moved his things to the study and spent his night there.

The next day, when he woke up in the early morning, he got ready to prepare breakfast. But he soon heard Mandy, saying coldly, “From today onward, you don’t have to prepare breakfast for our family.”

Harvey appeared helpless. He then sighed, “Darling, you’ve been overthinking about the incident last night. I’m just friends with Ella Graves.”

Mandy peeked at him, and she had no intention to argue with him. She just appeared particularly cold and aloof.

At first, she thought that the relationship between her and Harvey had changed slightly now. It was different from the past. She even imagined that they could act like a normal couple one day.

Besides, she thought that she had indeed misunderstood about the incident at the hospital. She even prepared to express her gratitude.

But unexpectedly, one single call and a photograph from the previous night ruined her entire fantasy.

Harvey still had some other things to deal with. Hence, he did not dwell much on that. He went to Platinum Hotel early.

In the CEO’s room, Tyson had been waiting there for a long time. Harvey entered the room. Seeing that, Tyson quickly stood up and rushed over. He then bowed slightly and said, “Mr. York, you’re here.”

“How’s it going with that incident?”

During the previous night after he went home, Harvey gave Tyson a call in the middle of the night. In fact, Harvey became quite vigilant with how Kane dealt with things. Since the Brookes had entirely offended him, he thought that there was no need for the Brookes to exist anymore.

“Mr. York, I started to investigate it from various aspects since last night. We could only say that the Brookes are indeed quite capable. It’s merely a second class family. But except for Liam, they still have their own arrangements.” Tyson said softly.

“What kinds of arrangements?” Harvey asked.

“They still have some other influence over some people in the gangs. Although those gangsters are not that powerful and influential, they are quite famous too. Under this circumstance, if we continue to oppress the Brookes, I’m afraid that those insignificant gangsters will step forward and create troubles. Then, it’ll ruin your important affairs.” Tyson said.
