Chapter 774 Take Advantage of His Sister
After coming out of the supermarket, the three of them went to Averi's house together.
Five cats, for Beata, she naturally wanted to bring each one back to her home.
However, for the sake of her dear brother who wouldn't be too uncomfortable, she decided to be good and not to do things that made her brother uncomfortable.
Therefore, she was really struggling to choose one.
After thinking about it, Beata wanted to pick the hairless cat home, but Averi said that the cat would be more fragile, and it might have a stress response in a new environment.
Therefore, there was no way but to choose other cat.
Beata chose the silver shaded cat in the end, because it had the most lively temperament and was least shy with strangers.
Moreover, it was also the closest cat to Beata.
After Beata had chosen, Averi simply sorted out the things that would be used.
After tidying up, the two came out of Averi's house.
River didn't come up just now, but waited for the two of them in the car.
Beata hugged the cat, happily opened the car door and sat in.
River was speechless.
His sister didn't put the cat in the cat bag. Wasn't this intentional to embarrass him?
In fact, this was the first time the cat saw River, and for some reason, it came up and yelled at River, meowing, as if it regarded River as its enemy.
River was at a loss for words.
He knew it was a mistake to let Beata bring the cat back with her.
Despite the cat's unfriendly attitude towards her brother, Beata didn't seem to mind and instead held the cat close while waving its little paw at River.
"River, can't you see? Even the cat knows you don't like it and is protesting against you. Can't you be a bit gentler with it?"
River wanted to say that he had already been gentle enough by not letting the stupid cat off the car, but what could he do?
Beata wasn't really concerned about his thoughts anyway. She was too focused on playing with the cat.
This cat was just too cute. There was nothing cuter than this little thing.
Averi's house was quite far from Knight's Mansion, but luckily they hit all green lights since it wasn't rush hour. In less than an hour, they arrived at Knight's Mansion.
It was Averi's first time here and even though she wasn't sheltered or naive in any way, she couldn't help but be awed by Knight's Mansion's grandeur.
For her, Knight's Mansion seemed almost inhumanly wealthy.
As soon as they got out of the car, Beata turned to River and said, "River, hurry up and go cook something! I'll take Averi and our little kitty for a tour of our home."
River sighed inwardly. What else could he do except indulge his younger sister?
The butler came out just then and when he saw Beata holding onto a small cat in her arms, he couldn't find words to express his shock.
After hearing Beata's request for her brother to personally cook dinner tonight, he was even more speechless.
The butler walked over to River, asking, "Mr. Knight, are you really going to cook?"
River felt helpless as always but nodded nonetheless, saying, "She always finds ways to get me into trouble. Have someone move all these things into kitchen while I change my clothes."
"Understood, Mr. Knight," replied the butler before immediately instructing some servants nearby who began unloading food items from his car.
When seeing all these snacks, the butler was even more confused about how to handle them properly without causing any issues later on.
Just then, however, before anyone could act upon anything further, Beata rushed over, quickly grabbing two large bags full of snacks before running back inside again, leaving everyone behind stunned once again.
One servant whispered quietly next another one nearby, "Didn't Mr. Knight forbid Missy from eating junk food like this? What happened today?"
"That's right. These ingredients are not fresh than we have." Another servant echoed in a low voice.
Hearing their discussion, the butler frowned and said, "You don't have to care so much. Do your work immediately. Can the master's affairs be discussed?"
The servants hurriedly lowered their heads to work, not daring to say anything more.
The butler frowned, and was full of doubts about these abnormal things today.
However, he can be sure that the reason for all this was related to the woman who appeared in their house.
This was the first time that a strange woman had come to their home.
The butler guessed in his heart that woman, could it be...
Their future hostess?
Otherwise, how could it be possible for this woman to come here?
Thinking about it this way, the butler became serious, and he had to tell everyone about it seriously. Otherwise, if they offended that young lady, the matter would be serious.
Averi didn't know that she had been regarded as River's woman, and was held by Beata along the way, and went straight back to Beata's room.
Beata put the cat down, and saw it patrolling her room like a noble king, not at all uneasy about coming to a strange place. On the contrary, it seemed like this was its territory in the first place.
Beata thought the cat was too cute.
She took the camera and took pictures of the kitten, not letting go of any angle or moment, and wanted to record the kitten in her lens.
This was simply what she had always dreamed of.
Averi sat on the sofa, watching Beata running around chasing the cat. Her eyebrows and eyes were infinitely gentle.
Finally, Beata was satisfied with taking pictures and moved to Averi's side, showing the photos to Averi.
"Averi, look, I took very good photos."
Averi looked at the kitten in the camera. It was really cute and beautiful.
Beata's photo technique was really good.
Averi did not hesitate to praise. "You're amazing."
Beata felt a little proud in an instant, and said happily, "I think so."
She became arrogant, but she was not annoying at all. She was completely cute.
Averi even suddenly felt that if Beata was really her sister, it seemed that it would be really good.
However, Averi dared only think about this idea and would never mention it to Beata.
Otherwise, the young girl's mind would surely start working again, and Averi wouldn't be able to handle it.
Besides, if River found out about this, it would become a whole different story.
He would definitely think that she had evil intentions and was trying to take advantage of his sister.
