Healing my disabled husband novel Chapter 780

Chapter 780 It Is Really Broken

Averi realized it was three in the morning when she woke up feeling hot.
She tried adjusting the air conditioning but couldn't figure it out, so she left her room, hoping someone could help or find a cooler place for her.
The living room was empty but had a comfortable temperature which made Averi feel relieved.
As she sat down on a couch, feeling frustrated by this unexpected situation that shouldn't have happened.
She took out her phone even though she felt sleepy, because if she fell asleep now, there would be no way of knowing what state she would wake up in tomorrow morning, which wouldn't be ideal.
To distract herself from these thoughts, Averi decided to play an escape game on her phone despite not being very good at it initially, but determinedly kept trying until eventually improving over time.
However, if she didn't want her mind blown away by how difficult this game can get, then she shouldn't try playing it herself.
Obviously, this game was the best choice as a tool to pass the time.
However, like every other time before, Averi was basically failing at it.
After finally landing without dying, she managed to drown herself while swimming in the game.
Averi was struck dumb.
She realized that despite being competent in many areas of life, when it came to playing games, she was useless.
"Pfft."
Suddenly laughter erupted and Averi snapped out of her concentration.
She looked up towards the source of the sound and saw River holding a bottle of mineral water not far away from her with an unrestrained smile on his face.
Averi had been so focused on playing that she didn't even notice when River had come over.
Her face turned red and Averi got off the couch, stood up straight and looked at River, saying "Did I disturb you?"
River opened the bottle cap and drank half of it before answering, "No."
He walked over to her, looking directly into her eyes and asking, "Why aren't you sleeping in your room?"
Averi replied, "The air conditioning seems to be broken."
River paused for a moment, looking at Averi strangely.
According to logic, this shouldn't have happened but he didn't say anything about his suspicions.
He finished drinking what remained in his bottle before asking, "Do you mind if I take a look?"
Averi understood what he meant by this gesture.
Even though it was a guest rooms but ultimately she was currently occupying it.
She felt touched by River's thoughtfulness.
She smiled, saying, "No problem, thank you."
River nodded slightly then turned around heading upstairs with Averi who was following him all the way back to her room.
As soon as he opened the door, he furrowed his brow because indeed it was very hot inside.
He walked towards where air conditioning unit should have been located, checking for any issues, but found nothing wrong with it after inspection.
After fiddling around with remote control for some time, he was still unable to find any solution, which made him extremely puzzled. Could it really be broken?
