Healing my disabled husband novel Chapter 784

Chapter 784 She Has Been Really Too Wild

After lunch, Averi was ready to leave.
Beata stuck to her side, with a face that showed she didn't want to be separated from her.
Averi coaxed her, "Be good. Kitty will keep you for a few days."
Beata was a little happy, but only a little. She leaned in close to Averi and said, "Averi, I'll come find you to play in a few days."
"Okay." Averi smiled and nodded before leaving Knight's Mansion.
After Averi left, Beata turned around and ran up the stairs into River's study.
"River, why didn't you go send Averi off?"
Beata stood in front of River with an annoyed expression on her face. Her face was all scrunched up. She was clearly quite angry.
River looked up at her with amusement and asked, "What are you thinking about? How do you want me to send her off?"
"Of course it's sending Averi back!" Beata replied.
This was such a good opportunity wasted! Letting the driver take Averi home - were they trying to get the driver and Averi closer?
How could she have such an idiotic brother?
River couldn't help but laugh at what Beata had said. He leaned back on his chair and looked at his sister as he asked, "In what capacity do you think I should have sent her home?"
The family had a driver who could take Averi home, which would make her feel more comfortable. If River were to drive her himself, she might want to jump out of the car along the way.
Beata pouted and said, "River, are you overthinking things? It's not that complicated."
River chuckled and said, "You go play by yourself."
Seeing that River was really busy, Beata stopped bothering him and left the study obediently.
Back in her room, Beata sat on the couch with the cat in her arms. And she was still very distressed.
Beata muttered to herself, "Do you think Averi likes my brother? She must like him. I'm so worried. My unreliable brother is not trustworthy at all."
No one knew if the cat understood what Beata was saying or not. It rubbed its head against Beata's palm as if comforting her.
Beata was immediately cheered up by this little thing. She hugged and kissed the cat while petting it all over. She felt so happy that she couldn't contain it anymore.
Oh well, she wouldn't think about those distant things anymore. After all, love was something that cannot be forced.
If she couldn't fulfill her own wish, it didn't matter as long as both of her brother and Averi were happy.
As for her own little thoughts... they weren't really important anyway.
With this realization in mind, Beata put down the cat and brought over her computer to start working on something else instead of worrying about things beyond control.
She needed to get down to writing her novel. These past few days, she had been too busy playing around and hadn't given her novel the attention it deserved. Now, with the deadline looming, she was on the verge of missing it.
Since becoming an author, she had never missed a deadline before. As a responsible writer, she couldn't allow herself to fall behind.
To ensure that this wouldn't happen again in the future, the most important thing was to write as many chapters as possible so that she could always stay up-to-date.
Over the past few days, she had been too much fun for her own good. Today, however, she needed to buckle down and get her novel written.
